Details of Disappearance

Green's twin brother picked up from her place of employment on April 15, 1987. They were driving back to their family's residence in White Bluff, Tennessee in her brother's car when the vehicle ran out of gas on Highway 46 in Dickson County, Tennessee at approximately 9:00 p.m. Her brother walked to purchase fuel and left Green alone in the car. He discovered she had vanished upon his return approximately fifteen minutes later. Green's handbag was still inside the vehicle, as were the keys. and there was no sign of a struggle at the scene. She has never been seen again.
Authorities had a suspect in Green's disappearance, a man who was incarcerated for rape after she went missing.
