Search Organized to Hunt for Adrianna and Jennifer Wix

It's been 4-years and 4-months since a Springfield mother and daughter disappeared.

Tonight a massive search is planned in hopes of finding out what happened to Jennifer and Adrianna Wix.

Two national search organizations are in Robertson county to lead and teach a group of local volunteers on what to look for while searching in brushy and wooded areas.

Groups will be out all weekend looking for anything that might help them find out what happened to the mother and daughter.

Wix family holds supply drive in missing girls’ honor


The family of Jennifer and Adrianna Wix is organizing a special campaign in honor of the missing mother and daughter for Christmas.

“Jennifer has a truly special gift in her love for animals and we have chosen this year to celebrate the season of giving by donating to abandoned, abused and neglected animals in their memory,” Kathy Holloway, Jennifer’s mother, said.

Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary, located in Hendersonville, will be given all donations in the missing girls’ names.

Tears and frustration marked an emotional milestone Saturday for a Robertson County family.

For the third year, family and friends sadly remembered Jennifer and Adrianna Wix.

Jennifer was 21-years-old and she and her two-year-old daughter went missing.

Balloons were specially prepared with an attached message to help find or find out why the mother and daughter went missing.

“We want everybody not to just see a white piece of paper hanging there… we want them to ask what is all that pink about?” said Kathy Holloway, who has struggled to bring attention to the disappearance of her missing daughter and...

Missing Mother, Daughter Presumed Dead



SPRINGFIELD, Tenn.- A mother and her toddler daughter, missing since 2004, are presumed dead, authorities said.

Friends and family gathered Saturday at Owens Chapel Church for a tribute to Jennifer Wix and her daughter, Adrianna, who was 2 when the pair vanished on March 24, 2004.

Every year, they gather at the church, which was the last place they were seen.

"This one's very different," said Peggy Calvert, Wix's grandmother. "Now we all pray that we hear from them tomorrow."

Investigators initially thought the pair ran away but now suspect they were killed.

Loved ones said they suspected foul play from the moment the pair went missing.

Wix family asks ‘Please don’t forget them’
Saturday marks third anniversary of disappearance

This weekend marks three years since family and friends have seen Jennifer and Adrianna Wix, the mother and daughter who simply disappeared on March 24, 2004.
Her mother, Kathy Holloway, and her grandmother, Peggy Calvert, ask that the community remember the missing pair.

“One of the largest fears I have as a mom is that people will forget them,” said Holloway.




Wix was last seen by her boyfriend Joey Benton who told authorities he dropped her and her daughter at an Exxon station around 9:30 p.m. that night. He added that Wix and her daughter left with someone in a white car.

They've been missing for more than two years, and their family is hoping a new picture will help bring them home.


Jennifer Wix and her daughter Adrianna disappeared on March 25, 2004.

The two were last seen at their home in Robertson County where they lived with Jennifer's boyfriend.

Jennifer's family has never stopped searching for them and hopes an age progression photo of Adrianna will help them find the mother and daughter.

A reward is being offered for their safe return.

Unfortunately, my daughter, Jennifer Wix, is not here and I must be her voice. I will continue to do so as long as necessary.

I am grateful to the people of the community and law enforcement who continue to support my family as we search for the truth.

Sheriff’s department hasn’t found mother, daughter

This week marks the two-year anniversary of the disappearance of Jennifer Wix and her young daughter Adrianna.

The anniversary comes on the heels of another search for the missing pair at a rural location where Jennifer lived until she and her daughter, then 2, disappeared March 24, 2004, according to Robertson County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Don Bennett.

According to police reports, Kathy Holloway said she last spoke with her daughter, Jennifer, then 22, on the day of her disappearance when she called at about 9 p.m. upset over an argument with her boyfriend, William Joseph “Joey’’ Benton.

Saturday marks the two-year anniversary of the disappearance of a young mother and her daughter.


Jennifer and Adrianna Wix's family continues to keep their memory alive.

The family will hold a vigil here Saturday, praying not only for their return but also for answers as to what happened.

Two years ago on this day, Kathy Holloway -- Jennifer’s mother -- spent the day searching.

“I'll search for them till I draw my dying breath,” she said.

March 25, 2003, 21-year-old Jennifer and her 2-year-old daughter Adrianna went missing.

Tennessee cops are searching for 2-year-old Adrianna Wix and her mother, Jennifer. They've been missing for more than a year and now, cops have turned to AMW in hopes of heating up this cold case.

On March 24, 2004, authorities say 22-year-old Jennifer Wix got into a heated argument with her live-in boyfriend, William Benton. That night, cops say, Jennifer called her mother very upset. But, that was the last time anyone heard from Jennifer.

Three days later, Jennifer's mother reported her daughter and 2-year-old Adrianna missing. Police say Jennifer is very close to her family and always stayed in touch with them during the week.

Adrianna and her mother, Jennifer Wix, were seen together between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2004. Jennifer's live-in boyfriend, William Benton, initially stated Jennifer and Adrianna left home with an unknown individual. He later altered his story and said he and Jennifer had an argument and he dropped her and Adrianna off at an Exxon gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee. Family of missing duo keeps search alive


Middle Tennessee is home to some prominent missing persons cases. Tabitha Tuders, Teresa Peden, and Jennifer Wix are just a few of those who have disappeared. For the families, sadness often turns to anger and frustration when their case grows cold. But one family is determined to keep their investigation fresh in the minds of everyone.

Jennifer Wix and her little girl, Adrianna, haven't been seen in nearly 20 months now. The family is frustrated, and say investigators aren't working hard enough. And they wonder why police have never searched the farm of Jennifer Wix's boyfriend, where Jennifer and her daughter were last seen alive.
