The eight-day-old disappearance of little Analyce Guerra from Smyrna brings back memories of another girl who vanished without a trace.


It was in 1996 when 3-year-old Lucy Meadows disappeared from the Rivergate Mall.

Nearly 10 years later, Goodlettsville detectives continue to question what really happened that day.

There are pages and pages of investigative work about a little girl whose picture never made it off Detective Harry Bell's desk.

"She's been there for the last 10 years,” Bell said.

It was July 1996 when Lucy Meadows disappeared.

"You know, you put skepticism into anything until you can narrow it down to find some facts in it,” Bell said.

Two of the three bodies of Middle Tennessee girls who disappeared separately last summer have been discovered. The bodies of 9-year-old Jackie Beard of Clarksville and 7-year-old Morgan Violi of Nashville were found recently.
The families of the three girls not only have to deal with the issue of their loved one missing, but the families also have to deal with the issue of investigators accusing them for the disappearances of the girls. It is understandable for the police or Federal Bureau of Investigations to question close family members and friends when a tragic event such as a kidnapping and murder happen, but one father said he had been harassed by the investigators; he has had to take the lie detector test five times.
